Achievement for all
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Over the past two weeks, children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have embarked once again on their woodland journey reminding themselves of our three forest look-afters: looking after nature, each other and ourselves. We have made clay, feather and leaf stick creations; foraged for blackberries to experiment with natural dye; been bug hunting and treasure hunting; and have been climbing, swinging, digging, painting, den building and fire lighting. A very busy two weeks indeed!
Today during our woods session, Neptune were set the task of constructing free-standing Stone Age teepees. Some of us found this task tricky initially but we worked together and used our problem solving skills with a fantastic result!
Mercury class have enjoyed spending time together - with new friends and old - by making the most of exploring the outdoors and engaging our imaginations.
Jupiter have been settling well into Year 1 life since we came back to school . We have already been very busy looking at numbers to 20, reading our class story Owl babies and exploring the different areas in our new classroom. Miss Cant is very proud of all their hard work.
Venus had a brilliant day on Monday celebrating Roald Dahl Day. We dressed up as characters from Roald Dahl stories, made our own dream jars like the BFG and learned to draw Willy Wonka. Check out our class page to see our fantastic photographs.
A huge welcome back to children in Years 1 - 6 today. Welcome also to our 7 new starters across the various year groups.
We can't wait to welcome our new Reception children in to school tomorrow and our Nursery children later in the week. Keep an eye out on our social media feeds for updates of children's learning.
