Earth had a great time exploring Roman numerals in the woods yesterday. They were challenged to create numbers and calculations using natural materials only.
Venus have enjoyed reading the poem Full of Surprises by Paul Cookson. Today we worked in pairs to look for patterns in the poem. We found rhyming and repetition.
In PSHE, Venus have been discussing disagreements and how to deal with problems in friendships. We read scenario cards with our partners and came up with advice.
Earth had great fun building a Roman marching camp in forest school. We enjoyed exploring how the Roman’s would build there camps when at war and we only used natural materials to do it - just like the Romans did!
Venus have been listening for the beat during their music lesson. They had a great time pretending to be toys on the move and marking the beats within each musical piece.
Neptune spent a pleasant afternoon in the woods. We took bark rubbings of trees and leaves. Now to name the species!
Earth had a great morning learning how to play string instruments in Music!
Neptune had great fun exploring and making circuits in our science lesson. We are looking forward to investigating conductors and insulators.
Earth had so much fun in Maths playing the more or less game!
