  • Diversity matters!

    Wed 14 Oct 2020

Mercury class are really enjoying their new topic all about the Windrush generation. After learning about The Empire Windrush and some of the passengers on board, they have been understanding the links between the UK and the Caribbean by exploring the British Empire and the countries which were part of it.

This linked brilliantly into the World Mental Health Day theme of ‘The Same, but Different’, where we discussed the meaning of diversity and why it is so important in modern life. The children then created some powerful posters showing how diversity can improve our lives. We are looking forward to displaying some of them around school!
